Welcome to my blog!

Hi everyone!

So, this has been a long time coming, but I’m happy that I’ve finally gotten around to starting this blog. There are a few reasons amongst other things for even wanting to. But I’ll get to those later, for now…time to talk about me!

My name is David, I’m 23 years old and I grew up in Surrey, England…And no, I didn’t own a horse, nor was/am I rich. Just thought I’d clear up that little stereotype. I’m the youngest of 5 children, which is easily the best position to take in the family, I didn’t always think so, but I definitely enjoy being the baby.
Right now I’m working 3 jobs and still have a surprisingly small income, but that’s the way the world is right now I guess. I’m saving as much as I can for the future and looking forward to starting an access course in September 2014. I’ll be doing access to humanities with the intention on going on to do a degree in business.
My wife (yes, I have a wife and I’m 23…whaaaat?) is similarly going to be studying as well. It’s going to be a busy busy year!
I’ve not been able to go in a while, but I’m hoping when circumstances allow, that dancing will again take a huge roll in my life. I love all kinds of dancing, with a particular love of lindy hop.

So I have started this blog for a few reasons:

I’ve noticed recently how much I have changed over the past number of years. The way I think, how I feel, what is important to me and my passions are ever changing. I am becoming incredibly interested in the world around me and to have a space, not only to record those things, but to share those things with others in discussion, would bring me the greatest joy.

I have had experiences both wonderful and challenging. I have developed a real yearning to help the world around me, and I would love to think that by sharing my experiences, and important lessons that I’ve learned, that it might be of some small benefit to someone. Like me, I know there are others who might struggle to express themselves. This blog is a channel for me to try and reach those people who may not be so vocal. I am certainly one of those people.

Through reading the blogs of friends and acquaintances I have gained a far greater appreciation for the kind of people they are, discovered things I never would have known about them, and even through some strange way feeling closer to them. I want to have an opportunity to let my friends and acquaintances into my world a little bit, give them a greater insight into who I am.

I also think it’ll be really fun

I hope I don’t bore you all to tears and that you’ll enjoy reading it. I would LOVE to have people respond to the posts and have their input on things I’m talking about. You’re free to share personal experiences, insights, thoughts and feelings. Feel free also to disagree with others or myself (providing that you’re being respectful and courteous of course). Whatever you choose, I’d love to hear from you and get connected!
